Light snow fell in New York City on Monday, January 6, as a major winter storm was dumping heavy snow in
south New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and the
Washington metropolitan area, and as the city
headed into a week of bitterly cold temperatures. On Sunday, NYC Emergency Management
predicted a “worst-case scenario” of around 1.5 inches of snow for the majority of the city. On Monday, however, weather officials
said snowfall totals were “expected to be less than an inch most places.”This footage shows conditions on Sixth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan around 11 am Monday morning. Credit: Rob McDonagh via Storyful
