An Israeli strike hit a telecommunications building in Gaza on Monday, October 9, causing internet outages and disrupting telephone service, Palestinian and international news outlets reported.The building that was hit in the strike contains the Palestine Telecommunications Company, which is considered one of the main telecommunications companies in Gaza.This video showing the destroyed building and debris on the street surrounding it was filmed by local journalist Mohammed Abo Oun, who said the strike injured and displaced local residents.At least 560 people are confirmed to have died in Gaza as of Monday afternoon, Palestinian officials said.The Israel Defense Forces said that 700 people died in Hamas’s attack on Saturday.
