Authorities in south-central Arizona warned residents of smoke on Wednesday, October 16, due to a 50-acre prescribed burn being conducted in the region.Footage posted to X by the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management shows dense plumes of smoke from the burn just south of Tolleson, in Maricopa County, on Wednesday.According to the post, the one-day burn was part of a local project to reduce hazardous fuels in the Tres Rios Wetlands and protect its wildlife habitat.
