Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost landed on the moon on March 2 in the Mare Crisium (Sea of Crises) after a 2.8-million-mile journey. The lander will take samples from the surface and test functions of its NASA equipment. The successful landing follows a previous attempt by the private aerospace company in February 2024, which ended with their lander touching down too fast and toppling over.
