A debt-ridden laborer from Panna in India's Madhya Pradesh says his family's life has changed forever after he discovered a 19.2-carat diamond worth nearly $100,000. 40-year-old Raju Gond, who normally earns about $4 a day, was searching for gold in a mine when he unearthed the gem buried under the dirt. Gond hopes to use his newfound fortune to benefit his children.
