Responders Find Black Box at Philadelphia Plane Crash Site

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) said on Sunday, February 2, that it had recovered the cockpit voice recorder from the medical jet that crashed in Philadelphia on Friday, killing seven people.The NTSB said the recorder, one of two “black box” devices required for planes by the FAA, was found at site of initial impact, at a depth of eight feet. The plane’s enhanced ground proximity warning system was also recovered.Footage released by the NTSB shows investigators at the site of the crash.According to news reports, the plane was carrying a girl returning to Mexico with her mother after receiving treatment in the US for a life-threatening illness.
