A strong winter storm sweeping through Mississauga, Ontario – in the greater Toronto area – brought “the
heaviest snowfall of the season” and widespread disruptions on February 12 and 13, local media
reported.
Weather alerts were issued and locals were
warned that severe cold would extend to areas west of Lake Ontario.The severe weather
prompted road closures, school closures, and
flight cancellations.Provincial
police said there were multiple collisions overnight, with some vehicles stranded in deep snowdrifts.Toronto Pearson airport recorded
