A group of electricians on their way to inspect power lines at a faraway station in the Xinjiang territory of China, were shocked when they encountered a rare phenomenon where it appeared as if three suns hung in the sky on December 12. The phenomenon, also known as a 'phantom sun,' is caused by the reflection, refraction, and dispersion of sunlight by ice crystals in the atmosphere.
