The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene in late September continued to be felt in North Carolina as footage from Sunday, October 27, revealed damage in Swannanoa a month after the storm struck.Firefighter Shane Shifflett, who captured the video here, told Storfyul he drove over seven hours to bring supplies to affected North Carolina communities like Swannanoa.“It was so sad to see the ongoing damage it seems like the hurricane just came through. Homes still in trees, debris scattered, gas fuel tanks from gas stations in trees but most of all the community came together and still is,” Shifflett said.Hurricane Helene hit North Carolina on September 27 - 28, leaving a death toll of 98 people in the state alone, according to officials.
