Timelapse video comprising satellite imagery depicted the wind-assisted growth of the Palisades and Eaton fires in the Los Angeles area into Wednesday, January 8.The imagery was released by the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere at Colorado State University (CSU/CIRA).The Eaton Fire had spread over 10,600 acres, and the Palisades Fire over 17,000 acres, with zero percent containment, by late Wednesday.Three smaller fires were also burning in the Los Angeles area: the Lidia Fire, the Sunset Fire, and the Hurst Fire.
