A woman remains missing after falling into a sinkhole that opened up on a sidewalk in the Jalan Masjid India area of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Friday morning, August 23.These photos from the Kuala Lumpur fire service show the search-and-rescue efforts, which were still ongoing late Friday night.The woman, a 48-year-old Indian national, was believed to have fallen about eight meters (26.25 feet) into the sinkhole, fire officials said.According to The Star, the woman was a tourist who was due to return home to India the following day.Police said a strong current flowing under where the sinkhole appeared was hampering the operation, The Star reported.
