Timelapse footage captured wildfire smoke drifting across the Hudson River from New Jersey toward New York City on Friday, November 8.This footage was captured by Greg Gallent, who filmed it in the Bronx. Gallent told Storyful it shows smoke from the Palisades area of New Jersey, where brush fires broke out overnight, according to reports.The New Jersey Forest Fire Service reported a wildfire burning in the Palisades Interstate Parkway area on Friday morning, and said it was 30 percent contained.A red flag warning was in effect for the region on Friday.
