Footage shared by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office shows deputies wading through floodwaters brought by Hurricane Milton, to reach an elderly woman’s home in Samsula, Florida, on October 12.Bodycam video shows rescue teams arriving at her home, which was surrounded by floodwater.“Your family called and said they were worried about you,” one of the deputies can be heard telling the woman as she greeted him at the front door.Deputies then helped the woman into a small boat, loaded it up with some of her bags and two cats, before taking her to dry land.According to local news reports the woman’s daughter had requested a well-being check after losing contact with her mother since the hurricane.
