Aerial footage taken by the California Army National Guard showed widespread fire damage in the Pacific Palisades and Malibu on Wednesday, January 15.This video captured by Master Sergeant Whitney Hughes shows the devastation from the Palisades Fire on Wednesday. Lines of houses can be seen completely destroyed.The California Army National Guard said more than 2,500 National Guard members were on duty as part of wildfire response efforts.The Palisades Fire, which started on January 7, claimed the lives of at least eight residents and destroyed more than 2,800 properties, according to Cal Fire; it was 22 percent contained as of Thursday.
