Local officials urged people to stay off roadways in Pennington County, on Tuesday, April 4, as a winter storm brought blowing and drifting snow to South Dakota.The South Dakota Department of Transportation said the Interstate 90 was closed from Spearfish to Wall due to heavy snow accumulations and strong winds.Footage posted by the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday shows conditions in Wall.The National Weather Service (NWS) reported 12.6 inches of snow at their office in Rapid City at 6 pm on Tuesday.
