Tropical Cyclone Zelia intensified to a Category 4 storm as it moved toward the Western Australia coast on February 13, with officials warning it could become a Category 5 storm before making landfall on Friday.Satellite imagery released by the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) shows the powerful cyclone whipping around Western Australia’s Pilbara region.The Bureau of Meteorology said Zelia was “intensifying rapidly” and was forecast to bring destructive wind gusts to communities on the Pilbara coast from as early as Thursday night.
