Fort Worth Zoo Celebrates Hatching of 17 Fuzzy Flamingo Chicks
The Fort Worth Zoo in Texas welcomed 17 adorable lesser flamingo chicks “over the last month” at its facility, footage released on February 13 shows, with “more on the way,” they said.According to the zoo – which says it has “the most successful lesser flamingo breeding program in the world” – the birds are difficult to breed and reproduce less than other flamingo species, “so these flamingo chicks are a big deal.”According to the press release sent to Storyful, the chicks will be “housed behind the scenes” and will receive around-the-clock feedings and care from keepers and their parents.
