Iranian Red Crescent Says It Sent Aid Shipment to Gaza

The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) said it sent its first shipment of aid to Gaza on Friday, October 20, to “reach the people of Gaza as soon as the Rafah crossing is opened for sending international aid.”In a press release the organization said it sent food, medical supplies, and relief workers on Friday, and that it “plans to set up three field hospitals at the Rafah border crossing to treat the injured Palestinian people.” Video released by the IRCS shows cargo being loaded onto trucks.Trucks have been lining up at the Rafah border crossing, waiting for permission to deliver humanitarian aid.The IRCS was also preparing to send aid via a ship, Pirhossein Kolivand, the head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, told the Iran Press News Agency on Friday.
