A Texas opossum came upon a sweet treat on a front porch on January 27, dragging a box of cookies away from the home of the intended recipient, footage shows.According to the Southlake Department of Public Safety (DPS), a 15-year-old boy was celebrating his birthday on January 26 and had received a late-night cookie delivery from Tiff’s Treats. The box went unnoticed late into the night, the DPS said, “which set up a seemingly impossumable theft.”The birthday boy discovered an empty bag of icing and a balloon on his front steps the next morning, but no treats. After some investigating, the family found the “mangled and empty” cookie bag in their yard and reviewed their home security footage to identify the culprit.Video shows the moment the cheeky critter walked up onto the front stoop and discovered a container of cookies before dragging it away.Tiff’s Treats saw the video and offered to replace the cookies for free.“He forgot to share!” they wrote on X. “That porch bandit is kinda cute though!” Credit: Southlake DPS via Storyful
