Satellite imagery captured smoke from several wildfires filling the sky in Los Angeles on Thursday, January 9, as crews worked to get the blazes under control.The imagery was released by the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere at Colorado State University (CSU/CIRA), which said it shows smoke from the Palisades, Eaton, and Kenneth fires.As of Friday, five active fires were burning in Los Angeles County, with the Palisades Fire remaining the largest one, according to the latest information published by Cal Fire.
