A Palestinian doctor who used to work at Nasser Hospital was released by Israeli forces after 11 months of detention on Friday, January 10, Al Jazeera said.Footage posted by Quds News Network shows Dr Mahmoud Abu Shahada, who worked as the head of the orthopedics department at Nasser Hospital, hugging people inside the courtyard of the European Hospital in Khan Yunis on Friday.According to Al Jazeera, Shahada was arrested on February 17 of last year during a raid on Nasser Hospital.According to Shahada’s layer, who was quoted in news reports, Shahada had been “subjected to torture and harsh treatment” during his detention.
