Motorists were warned to drive slowly as snow and slick road conditions led to collisions in central Kansas on Friday, February 16.Two crashes involving semi-trailers were reported on Interstate 70 that morning.These images from Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) trooper Ben Gardner show a FedEx semi-trailer hanging off the side of an overpass after colliding with a second truck. The crash happened on I-70 west of Abilene, where snowy weather was leading to “slide-offs and wrecks,” Gardner said.A couple of hours later, the KHP reported that another semi-truck had slid off I-70 near Abilene, about 23 miles east of Salina.No injuries were reported in either incident.Up to two inches of snow was expected in the Salina area Friday morning, the National Weather Service said.
