A landslide caused by heavy rains forced the evacuation of several homes on a road in Taman Melawati, a town near the Malasian capital of Kuala Lumpur, on Tuesday, October 15, according to local media.Police said 33 residents from 11 families on the road were relocated to a community hall and were advised not to return to their homes, Sinar Daily reported.Plastic sheeting would be installed over the affected slope to prevent further soil erosion, and authorities said they were closely monitoring the area, according to Sinar Daily.No casualties or damage were reported.
