A storm chaser managed to capture two vastly different storms slamming the same spot in Lake Charles, Louisiana, over four years apart, footage posted on Tuesday, January 21, shows.Chad Casey captured footage of Hurricane Delta hitting this spot in downtown Lake Charles October, 2020, and the recent historic winter storm whipping through the same area in January, 2025.According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Hurricane Delta made landfall near Creole, Louisiana, south of Lake Charles, on October 9, 2020. It brought hurricane-force winds with gusts of 96 mph recorded in Calcasieu Parish, where the city is located.On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the National Weather Service Lake Charles issued its first-ever blizzard warning for the region.
