Heavy snowfall walloped western New York as a lake-effect storm dropped several inches of snow and created dangerous road conditions on Friday, January 3.This video posted on X by user CoreyDeLong1 shows heavy snow falling on farmland in Mexico, New York, about five miles from Lake Ontario.A lake-effect snow warning was issued for areas east and southeast of Lake Ontario and included the Syracuse area, according to the National Weather Service.
