At least one person has been confirmed killed in
wind-fueled wildfires that have been spreading across southern and central Chile in recent days.The national director of Senapred (the National Disaster Prevention and Response Service), Alicia Cebrian,
said that 22 wildfires were active in the country as of Monday morning, with 13 in the southern region of Araucania, where temperatures of over 104 degrees Farenhait (40 degrees Celsius) and strong winds were recorded.At least one person was killed over the weekend, Cebrian
