Beachgoers at Heron Island, Australia found an incredibly rare albino green sea turtle not long after it hatched on January 20. The baby had just survived an encounter with a seagull, who dropped the hatchling, allowing it to continue crawling into the water. Albino green sea turtles have a 1 in 100,000 chance of being born. Weakened vision and lack of natural camouflage lower their chances of survival in the wild.
