The Patagonia region of Argentina continued to burn in February after multiple fires broke out across the territory, ravaging hundreds of thousands of acres in the worst fires in decades, Greenpeace Argentina said.This footage posted on Wednesday, February 12, shows firefighters in Lanin National Park in Argentina’s Neuquen Province.According to the Neuquen province government, parties and other activities planned in the area for February and March would be canceled or put on hold as all resources were being allocated to extinguishing the fire in Lanin National Park.Lanin National Park reported that at least 15,200 hectares (about 59 square miles) of the park had been burned as of Wednesday.
