Stretches of New York City’s Rockaway Beach were closed on Thursday, July 11, after shark sightings in the area.There were three reported sightings, but officials told ABC7 it was not clear if these were all different sharks.This drone footage was released by NYPD Deputy Commissioner Kaz Daughtry, who said “jaws” was spotted near Rockaway Beach at 84th Street.“Our drones will continue to monitor the waters for any other shark sightings or swimmers in distress,” Daughtry said.
