Ice coated a beacon on a pier in St Joseph, Michigan, on Friday, December 13, amid strong winds and freezing temperatures on Lake Michigan.The National Weather Service (NWS) said winds reached up to 47 mph in Michigan the day previous, with wind chills as -10 Fahrenheit.Nathan Voytovick, of Nate’s Dronography, captured this footage showing the frozen ice on the St Joseph South Pierhead on the shores of Lake Michigan.“The south pier beacon was fully covered in crazy looking ice,” he wrote on Facebook. “Seems like something from another planet!”The NWS said light freezing rain was forecast on Saturday, changing to all rain late on.
