Firefighters in British Columbia rescued a struggling deer that got stuck on a frozen river, footage posted on social media on February 5 showed.Kamloops Fire Rescue posted the video on Facebook, saying they wanted to spread some good news.“We pulled a young deer off the ice recently, and just watching it feels good,” the firefighters wrote.Kamloops Fire Rescue safety coordinator Jeff Pont told local media that if a pet wanders onto the ice, it’s crucial to call them immediately.He also said that a person falling into an icy river in the bitter cold could develop hypothermia before firefighters could arrive.
