Israeli forces left behind scenes of devastation in Nur Shams refugee camp in the West Bank after demolishing
multiple homes through early March, reportedly to construct a
new road through the embattled Palestinian town.Footage posted by Quds News Network on Wednesday, March 5, shows destroyed buildings and rubble in a densely built-up section of the refugee camp, which is located east of Tulkarm. Three days earlier, the Palestinian news outlet had
posted videos showing Israeli-operated bulldozers demolishing buildings in the same area and families being forced to
evacuate their homes.According to Wafa, a news agency owned by the Palestinian National Authority, Israeli forces on Wednesday morning announced plans to demolish 17 homes, “bringing the total number of homes demolished or set to be demolished to 28.”The demolitions in the refugee camp come at a tenuous moment as Israeli, Palestinian, and US officials work to hash out terms for an
extended peace agreement in the Israel-Hamas war. Credit: Quds News Network via Storyful
