There was zero visibility on the roads in Adair County on Wednesday, March 5, as the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a hazardous weather warningThis footage shared by a state trooper shows a barely visible highway amid ongoing snowy conditions.“Interstate 80 at the 89 mile marker in Adair County! It might be light out now but the visibility is still zero in some areas with snow blowing and drifting! TRAVEL NOT ADVISED!” ISP-Trooper DeVault wrote.In its weather advisory, the NWS said a wind warning was in effect on Wednesday night and a “band of moderate snow” was forecast over central Iowa for Thursday night into Friday.It had also urged against any non-essential travel given the ongoing dangerous conditions on the road.
