A township meeting resulted in a brawl in the south suburbs of Chicago on Tuesday, January 28, with community members scrambling to get out of the way.Footage taken by Dianna Love shows activist Jedidiah Brown speaking out provocatively against South Holland Township Supervisor and Mayor of Dolton Tiffany Henyard on Tuesday. Brown can be seen walking away from a podium toward the back of the room, after which several people can be seen punching and kicking each other.People can be seen scrambling to get out of the way of violence and exit the room.According to a local news report, Brown no longer lives in the Chicago area, but remains an outspoken critic of Henyard. He told Chicago’s ABC7 he was at the meeting because residents asked him to be.Brown also said Henyard struck him with a microphone in the melee, although that is not visible in this footage.Henyard is reportedly under investigation by the FBI, and former Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot has accused her of financial mismanagement.South Holland police said that no arrests were made, local news reported.
