Branches from an ice-covered tree near Hume, Virginia, broke off as winter storms swept
across the region on Thursday, February 6.This footage, captured by Marios Francisco Wallace, shows a large branch of an ice-laden tree audibly crack and break under the weight of the ice.Speaking to Storyful, Wallace said he thinks there was about “0.25 inches of ice on the tree.”The National Weather Service (NWS)
