Sounds made by humpback whales as they passed through the ocean off Oahu, Hawaii, were captured on camera in recent days.Mark Healey, who recorded the mesmerising audio, said he could hear them when he was out diving in the water.“It was the loudest/most whales I’ve heard singing underwater so I decided to send a GoPro down so I could show people,” he told Storyful.According to the Hawaii Tourism Authority, humpback whales, or koholā, are present in the waters around Hawaii in Oahu’s southern seas from December to May.“The gentle giants come to the warm Hawaiian waters every year to breed and give birth to new calves,” the tourism board said.
