Giraffes and llamas at the London Zoo devoured an early Christmas dinner when they were treated to edible wreaths and hanging decorations in their enclosures.Reticulated giraffes Molly, Nuru, and Wilfred chowed down on Brussels sprouts packaged in canisters customized for engagement by the staff. The mammals can be seen using their 20-inch-long tongues to fish out the snacks.Meanwhile, llamas Ande and Dainty received edible wreaths packed with leaves and carrots.“Christmas is all about treats,” zookeeper Jessica Young said. “While sprouts might not be everyone’s favorite festive vegetable, our reticulated giraffes love them!”“For the llamas, leaves and carrots are firm favorites, so we’ve turned them into edible wreaths to put their exploratory skill to use,” Young said.
