Drivers on busy highways in the UK have been seen eating, texting, and typing, instead of keeping their hands on the wheel, footage and images released by National Highways on Wednesday, December 18, show.In the footage and images, which were captured on various roads in the UK including the A1, M1, and M18, drivers are seen being distracted from the road in a variety of ways.In one clip, a driver is seen typing on a laptop or tablet while driving.In another clip, a driver is seen texting with two hands while on the road.National Highways also published an image which they said showed a man using both hands to eat breakfast.Operation Tramline has been in operation since 2015, using plain white trucks as observation points to catch distracted drivers.
