The damaging Salt and South Fork fires burning around Ruidoso in New Mexico were nearing 70 percent containment by June 27, local officials said.The fires had burned a combined 25,508 acres and were showing “limited activity” due to storms and firefighting efforts.This footage, released by the Village of Ruidoso, shows damage to houses and trees there.
