Security measures were heightened around the US Capitol in Washington, DC, on January 18, with fencing and other precautions put in place ahead of the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump.The ceremony for Trump was moved to the Capitol because of forecasts of extreme cold, as the inaugural parade also moves indoors.Large crowds are still expected on Monday - more than 250,000 guests were ticketed to view the inauguration from around the Capitol grounds - despite ticketed areas being closed by US Capitol Police.Capitol Police said there would still be heightened security posture with an increased law enforcement presence and layers of physical security.
