A worker attempting to clear a path in the snow-covered district of Beytussebap, in Turkey’s Sirnak Province, on Saturday, February 22, made a lucky escape after he was caught in an avalanche.Irfan Cin told Storyful he was in Beytussebap clearing the way to the village of Gokce with a snowplowing machine when an avalanche occurred.When he saw the avalanche coming, Cin said he “ran away, backed up, and took the images at that moment.”This footage shows the moment the wall of snow hit Cin’s snow groomer, broke through the machine’s window, and submerged Cin, only leaving his head and arm out of the snow.The Sirnak Special Provincial Administration and the gendarmerie rescued the worker.“Thank God, I’m fine,” Cin told Storyful.
