Newly released footage shows the moments before and after the knife attack in Southport last July, in which jailed murderer Axel Rudakubana fatally stabbed three children.The footage, released by Merseyside Police, shows Rudakubana getting into a taxi on July 29, and subsequently dodging the fare as the driver pursues him to the door of the Hart Space, where the attack took place.The taxi driver can be heard shouting. “Are you paying now? Police are on their f—ing way, you know.”Rudakubana doesn’t answer the driver, and is seen entering the building.Other footage shows officers arriving at the scene following the stabbings, where a panicked man tells one, “Don’t go. You need a f—ing gun mate. He’s got a f—ing knife.” More officers are seen rushing to the door of the Hart Space.Further footage shows Rudakubana’s arrest.Rudakubana was jailed for a minimum of 52 years for the murder of three girls, the attempted murder of 10 other people (eight children and two adults), possession of a knife in a public place, production of a biological toxin, and possession of information of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing, or preparing, an act of terrorism, Merseyside Police said.
