Palestinian journalists covering the Israeli military operation in the West Bank city of Nablus said tear-gas canisters were fired at them on Tuesday, February 24.Footage posted by Palestine Post shows a soldier standing behind a military vehicle and throwing an object that hits the camera of the person filming.The footage also shows an object thrown toward the journalists’ cameras emitting a smoky substance.Other footage posted by Palestine Post and filmed at the same location shows several journalists coughing as smoke from tear gas surrounds them on both sides of a staircase structure.Al Jazeera said Israeli soldiers fired tear gas “at journalists and medical crews in the vicinity of the Old City in an attempt to disperse them and keep them away from the area.”Al Qastal, another Palestinian outlet, said that Israeli military reinforcements were being sent to Nablus on Tuesday.
