A latest band of lake-effect snow was leading to accumulations of about 2-3 inches per hour in the Buffalo area on January 20, but the winter weather had yet to lose its charm for one local man.Weather enthusiast Daniel JD Pollina said the snow had “already dumped over a half a foot” locally when he set out for a walk. “Snow falling is one of the most peaceful things ever, especially taking a walk in it with the snow piling up,” he said. “It’s so quiet.”Footage here was taken by Polina in the Buffalo suburb of Cheektowaga. The National Weather Service said the snow would “remain steady” overnight.
