A feeding humpback dodged swimming ropes close to the shore in view of spectators at Gin Beach in Southampton, New York, on Sunday, August 25.This footage was captured by Joanna Steidle, who said that she was “quite concerned” the the whale might get hurt by a “roped-off swimming area” at the beach.“Fortunately, the humpback whale just nearly missed the ropes twice along her feeding journey,” Steidle said.
