A whale-watching company’s stunning footage of multiple bottlenose dolphins leaping high above waters off San Diego went viral on social media, a local TV station
reported.Video filmed by Erica Sackrison, who operates
Gone Whale Watching, filmed the footage as the dolphins swam near their boat on August 12.The footage had been viewed over 7 million times by August 20.“You could just see them jumping like, 20 feet in the air, and everybody on the boat just started pointing and I’m like, ‘What is everybody looking at?’” Sackrison told local media.“Almost feels like they were doing Olympic-style jumps, like they were just all trying to be like Simone Biles and just touch the sky and come down. It was awesome,” she added.“You know, when these things are going higher than the wheelhouse … it’s spectacular,” Sackrison said. The company regularly posts similar encounters to its
Instagram page. Credit: @
