Anchorage, Alaska was hit by hurricane-force winds on January 12, with wind speeds reaching as high as 132mph in some areas. Multiple small planes at Merrill Field Airport were flipped over, powerlines and trees came down and a pedestrian bridge partially collapsed onto a highway.
