An 84-year-old man successfully fought off a would-be robber using a pair of jeans after he was attacked in a launderette in South Yorkshire recently.Security footage captured at the Coin-Op Laundrette in Maltby on January 7 shows a suspect with his face concealed telling the pensioner, Ron Croker, to give him his money.After Croker refuses to give up his money, the assailant briefly leaves the launderette, before re-entering and accosting Croker.Croker is then seen hitting the assailant with the pair of jeans, and then pushing him out the door.“I’ve worked all my life for my money. He’s not having it,” Croker told the BBC.Croker sustained bruises to his hands and arm in the incident, but he did not lose his wallet, the BBC reported.
