Frost coated the ground in Valle Crucis, North Carolina, early on Friday, October 18.This footage taken by @gradyryan1, a former science teacher, shows a white layer of frost on the ground.According to the source’s own weather station, temperatures were down to 27 degrees Fahrenheit at approximately 7:30 am on Friday.The local National Weather Service in Blacksburg, Virginia, said temperatures were about 10 degrees below normal, and had forecast cold nights for the area into the weekend.
