Numerous Arrests as Jewish Groups Hold Seder Protest Near Schumer's NY Home

Protesters were seen being arrested in large numbers on April 23 after several Jewish groups organized an “emergency Passover seder” near Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s home, demand he “stop sending weapons to Israeli.”Footage by Liam Quigley shows NYPD officers moving in at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn and taking protesters away as they chant “Let Gaza live” and “Free Palestine.”Quigley tweeted that he saw “dozens” of arrests, and five bus loads of people being taken away. He later told Storyful he reckoned around 300 people were arrested.The protest came in the hours before the US Senate voted to pass a bill giving $95 billion in war aid to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan.
